Spiritual Legacy

DSCF2832I overheard two men (who were in the same kindergarten class) easily recall the name of their teacher. What was it about this teacher that made such a lasting impression?

On our walk of faith, are we making impressions and memories which will last for years? Are we creating a lasting spiritual legacy?

During my conversation with God, we talked about the process of creating and leaving loving and lasting impressions.

My prayer for us is to talk with God about our spiritual legacy and allow Him to guide our steps.

One of the functions of divine wisdom is to create. God’s wisdom is that of artists, whose knowledge of what they make is practical as well as theoretical.”

–  St. Thomas Aquinas

Regardless of the mental or emotional state I am in, the strongest feelings of stability I get come from art or prayer, extensions of God’s gifts of creativity, expression, and communication. Thanks for the last two blog entries, reminding us of what should take priority in our lives.
