Pleasing Meditation

DSCF3113May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord.”

– Psalm 105: 34

When I hear the word meditation, I often associate it with Eastern religious traditions. I usually don’t think about meditation being referenced in scripture.

Many times, my prayers are a one-sided conversation. I look forward to my prayer time as I always seem to have something to share with God. I always have people on my prayer list to lift up.

When scripture states, “may my meditation be pleasing to him” I wonder what that means? I believe it is a reminder to have silence in our prayers. Only in our silence can we hear God whisper.

As much as God loves to hear from us, I believe He is filled with joy when we are peacefully waiting to hear from Him!
