Where Have We Been And Where Are We Going

This image reminds me of this weekend. Where have we been and where are we going? The start of the new year is always the traditional time for resolutions. This year, I pray for revelation. For God to guide us where He wants us to go and what He wants us to do. To be less me centered and more He centered.

One of the honors I received last year was being one of the panel speakers at the Florida Inspirational Writers Conference. Being invited to speak was an affirmation of where I have been on my walk of faith. The lesson for me is God sometimes has bigger plans for us than we can imagine.

Another honor was speaking with Deb at a church dinner about the concept of being a gentle witness. Again, another affirmation.

I am not a gifted speaker and yet, God placed me in two positions where I would be in front of groups of people. As I prayed about both of the talks, I asked for guidance and for a reduction of my anxiety. In both talks, I did ok. I felt comfortable and confident enough to be open to additional invitations.

As you know, last year was a challenging year for me, which continues. My prayer is for all of us to know that God has it. God knows it. God is with us. No matter what happens this year, let us draw closer to God and one another.

Thankful and blessed. I am so thankful and blessed by each of you who read and contribute so much to this blog. Your participation allows me to see how discovering and sharing grace is an ongoing and miraculous process. Thank you for sharing my blog with your family and friends. I just received my annual stats from WordPress and was amazed to see the different countries we are reaching!

A verse to help us strive to do our best in the new year:

“But as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness,, and in our love for you-see that you excel in this act of grace also.”
